Meet Your Dentist

Dr. Gian Calandrelli,
DMD

Born and raised in Rehoboth, Dr. Gian Calandrelli brings a unique blend of local roots, technical training, and personal warmth to every patient relationship. A graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Calandrelli blends his passions for art, psychology, and hands-on design to offer care that’s as thoughtful as it is technically precise.

With advanced training through The Pankey Institute, Dr. Calandrelli focuses on comprehensive, relationship-driven dental care—moving beyond “quick fixes” to help patients regain long-term oral health and enjoy true healing. He is especially skilled in diagnosing and treating TMJ/TMD disorders, using therapeutic modalities such as custom splints, appliance therapy, and integrative approaches that bring lasting relief to those who need it most.

Dr. Calandrelli believes good dentistry is human-centered—and transformative. His priority is creating a calming, collaborative experience that helps patients feel in control of their own health journey. Whether you’re here for cosmetic work, implants, or routine care, he customizes each treatment plan to reflect your goals, your story, and your smile.

Outside the office, Dr. Calandrelli devotes time to woodworking, programming, and spending quiet moments with his wife and their dog—reflecting the same meticulous attention to craft and harmony he brings to each dental case. His vision for the practice is simple but powerful: To redefine what it means to “go to the dentist” through deeper trust, modern tools, and authentic care.

Supportive From the Start

What to Expect at Your First Visit

From the moment you walk through our doors, you can expect to be greeted by name, welcomed with warmth, and treated with purpose. We take time to understand why you’re here—not just what your teeth look like on paper. Our technology allows us to diagnose thoroughly, but our attention to you as a whole person sets the tone for all that follows.

The Experience

Whether you're joining us for a preventative cleaning, a second opinion, or a specific concern like jaw discomfort or a missing tooth, you can expect clarity, education, and empathy. During your first visit, we’ll gather necessary diagnostics like 3D imaging or photographs, discuss your health goals, and begin creating a roadmap that reflects both your clinical needs and your comfort levels.

What to Bring

Please bring the following to your appointment:

Valid ID

Insurance card (if applicable)

Completed new patient forms (or arrive early to fill them out)

Any recent dental records or X-rays

A list of medications or health concerns

Where Comfort Meets Cutting-Edge Care

Our investment in innovative technology is a reflection of our commitment to your long-term wellness. At Daft & Calandrelli, patients benefit from tools and systems designed for accuracy, comfort, and quicker healing—all while receiving care in a setting focused on calm, connection, and personalized service.

CEREC & CAD/CAM Technology

Same-day crowns and restorations are possible thanks to our in-house design and milling capabilities. These tools allow us to produce precise, custom restorations without multiple appointments—and without relying on third-party labs.

CBCT 3D Imaging

Our Cone Beam Computed Tomography scanner lets us analyze jaw structure, nerve pathways, and sinus spaces in exacting detail. It ensures accurate diagnosis and surgical planning, especially for implant placement or TMD treatment.

Guided Implant Placement

Using surgical guides designed with CAD/CAM software and 3D-printed in-house, our doctors can place implants with higher accuracy and lower risk. This results in better healing, function, and peace of mind for patients undergoing restorative solutions.

Invested in Our Community

While we don’t yet have an official outreach program, our team members frequently volunteer their time and talent locally—from attending community festivals to visiting residents in nursing homes. These individual acts of service reflect our shared values: kindness, meaningful presence, and a responsibility to care for the people beyond our practice walls. As we grow, we look forward to creating new ways to give back and stay connected to the communities surrounding Seekonk, Rehoboth, and beyond.
